2014 ROUTE CHANGES
|
|
Due to the ongoing construction of the Hoan Bridge, we have had to make route changes for the 2014 UPAF Ride for the Arts that will affect the 75 and 50-mile routes. Those routes are now the 40 and 66-mile routes and they will not be utilizing the Hoan Bridge. We are happy to announce that the 25-mile Hoan route is not affected!
50-Mile Hoan Route:
Now 40-Mile Route
This year we will be offering a 40-mile route that takes riders past some of the area's more picturesque neighborhoods, including Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, Fox Point, Bayside and Mequon. Riders will also enjoy views of Lake Michigan as they pedal along Lincoln Memorial Drive. The Concordia University Oasis and Wheel & Sprocket Oasis are situated along the route. The 40-mile route is sponsored by Wheel & Sprocket.
75-Mile Hoan Route:
Now 66-Mile Route
Get your kicks as you set your wheels in motion for a 66-mile scenic tour of Milwaukee's lakefront. Following a similar course to the 40-mile route, 66-mile riders continue north along Lake Michigan to the city of Port Washington, and return to Summerfest. On the return route, riders will be treated to the Ozaukee Interurban Trail and Bridge! This route is for experienced riders only. The Concordia University Oasis, Wheel & Sprocket Oasis and Allen Edmonds Oasis are all situated along this route. The 66-mile route is sponsored by Allen Edmonds.
We will still offer the 25-mile Hoan route, which allows our riders the rare opportunity of biking over the Hoan Bridge.
