With so many people on TV and in the movies jumping from bed to bed, it's easy to think this translates into real life - including teenagers.  But according to recent information from the CDC, most high school students are virgins (53%).  Considering only 34% of high school students stated they are currently sexually active (which means they've engaged in a sexual relationship at least once in the past three months) then having sex is NOT the norm for the average high school student.  It might also encourage you to know this downward trend in sexual activity started in the early 1990's, which directly coincides with the onset of abstinence education across America, and continues through today.  In fact, sexual activity among high school students has dropped 13% since 1991.
