TEEN BIRTH RATE HITS ALL TIME LOW

As I turned on the 6 o'clock news, I heard a nationally acclaimed broadcaster report, "According to the CDC, teen births reached another all-time low, and they are citing the primary reason as fewer teens are having sex." He then paused and said, "Now really - who believes that?"
Suddenly, I found myself yelling at the newscaster, "Me! Me!
I believe it." That's when I realized most Americans may have no idea teen sexual activity rates along with teen birth, pregnancy and abortion rates have been declining since 1991.
In fact, between 1991 and 2012, teen birth rates declined by the following percentages:
- 10 to 14-yr-old girls - 71%
- 15 to 17-yr-old girls - 63%
- 18 to 19-yr-old girls - 45%
While the numbers are still high -
the country is moving in the right direction.
The best news is -
MOST AMERICAN TEENAGERS HAVE NOT HAD SEX.

Anti-Bullying / Internet Safety Program
We are pleased to announce our newest anti-bullying program that includes a large section on Internet Safety. Unfortunately, bullying has expanded far beyond the classroom and into the realm of social media. In The Next Chapter, students will learn the dangers of sending personal information and photos to people they meet on line because of the following new catch phrases:
- Sextortion Scams - A serious problem on social media pertaining to teens, nude pictures and blackmailing.
- Sexting - Sending/receiving sexual photos and messages by cell phones.
- Geotagging - Where stalkers can detect the exact location of their victim immediately after receiving a photo.
