Sybil Shimazu

Born and raised in the small town of Hilo, Hawaii, jewelry designer Sybil Shimazu learned early the value of beautiful things-at reasonable prices.

Jools

"Growing up in Hawaii, I was fascinated by beach glass, olivines (a form of peridot created by volcanic lava), coral, shells and sand crystals-all things found naturally that were beautiful nonetheless. I really believe that experience formed my philosophy as a jewelry designer: quality doesn't have to come at a high price, and our creativity can be inspired by what we find around us."

Jools

Sybil's jewelry combines natural semi precious stones with sterling silver and 14k gold filled.  She loves drama and asymmetry... so her designs are both bold and delicate.  A very fresh look!

Furry Friends... Penny
Kim Griffin
Penny

Meet Penny.  She is a 7 year old rescue dog... mostly Border Collie (we think).  Penny lives with her human, Kim Griffin, in Toano, VA.  However, she loves spending time in Beaufort as well.  She enjoys meeting new people, and all the hugs, rubs, and kisses they lavish upon her.  She really likes the Beaufort waterfront, and, of course, spending time in Handscapes with Kim.
