Who is Henrietta?

Henrietta is Jill Henrietta Davis' middle name. It is also her great-grandmother's name.  Henrietta Glass is a limited production line of hand blown decorative glass items.  It is easy to make something beautiful, well-crafted and expensive.  Designing something beautiful, well-crafted and inexpensive is much more challenging.  Henrietta Glass accomplishes this very well, creating beautiful objects at affordable price points. A friend of Jill's likes to call it "Art for everyone."

As an artist Jill strives for the best possible design and craftsmanship.  Every piece of Henrietta Glass comes packaged in it's own gift box (made of 100% recycled materials) with an enclosure card telling the story of that item's inspiration.  Half the fun is in the story!

Jill says "In 1988, after experimenting with many different materials and art forms, I was first exposed to the wonders of molten glass and immediately fell under its spell. Sixteen years, a BFA and an MFA later I remain as smitten as ever.

Glass can do things that would be impossible with any other material, and although the learning process is quite difficult, once you gain a little fluency, blowing glass is just plain fun. I try to convey this fun by blending humor with fine craftsmanship in my designs. I hope you will enjoy them."
