Thanksgiving
Lisa Oakley
Pumpkins by Lisa Oakley
Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday.  I am so thankful to work among artists and craftspeople, to enjoy that creative spirit and to have the joy of sharing it with others.  I am also thankful for all of you... the people who love handcrafted goods and support the arts community.  Thank you.

Which came first?
Trained in Design and Sculpture with an MFA from Otis Art Institute, Steven Mcgovney has worked in many media, but focused on the sculptural side of ceramics.  He has done whimsical ceramic art and sculpture.

Clearly, a great sense of humor informs Steven's wonderful birds.  Very simply, they make you smile.

Steven describes himself thus: "Steven Mcgovney has been making art since childhood.  Unfit for any other kind of work, he received an MFA from Otis Art Institute in 1973, and has shown in galleries nationwide ever since."

We featured Jill Scholsohn's beautiful jewelry in July.  Just recently she sent us some new necklaces that feature Thai Hmong tribe spirit locks in sterling silver on beautifully crafted multi bead chains.  Just lovely.

Intrigue earrings by Patricia Locke

Patricia Locke always dazzles us with her beautiful jewels.  These earrings, in her new fall colors, are fit for a queen.

Anne Lovett

Anne Lovett's creative blend of colors and shapes is always delightful.  We love these earrings in carnelian and amazonite.

Rachel Croom
Botanicals pendant by Rachel Croom

This beautiful Botanical pendant by Rachel Croom combines fine silver with an image transfer.  The wood and ruby zoisite beads add a finishing touch.

Slight Chance of Rain by Jerry Heiser

Jerry Heiser has done it again!  His newest sculpture is as full of wit and imagination as always!  Atop Mt Ararat, Noah's Ark waits for someone to walk by... then the ark creaks and moves, accompanied by chattering monkeys and trumpeting elephants!  Too much fun!
We hope you have enjoyed our newsletter and we would love for you to come see us!
