Homewood Wins First Place - Twice - in National Marketing Competition!

Homewood's Marketing/Branding Campaign

"You're in the Right Place" and  "Zombie Paradise"

Social Media Campaign Win First Place

Homewood Beat Out Competition From Santa Clarita CA and Leon County FL among others.

Homewood received two first place national awards at the 3CMA's 25th Annual Savvy Awards on Thursday, September 5 in Scottsdale, AZ. Out of nearly 500 nominations in various marketing and communication categories from communities like Santa Clarita (CA), Boulder (CO), Norfolk (VA), and Leon County (FL), Homewood beat out the competition for its overall branding campaign, "You're in the Right Place" and for its three-part video series titled, "Zombie Paradise."

"The judges also felt that while Homewood is serious about attaining its goal of branding as 'the right place' for young families, the Village isn't afraid to have a bit of fun...as evidenced by the zombie videos," said 3CMA Director of Information Scott Lehtonen.

The Savvy Awards competition recognizes outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. The Savvies salute skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing.
