HOME SWEET HOMEWOOD'S CHOCOLATE FEST | |

Homewood's Chocolate Fest features live music, children's activities, demonstrations, and vendor booths boasting delicious sweets, desserts, and gourmet baked goods. Join Karen Scobbie, award winning cake designer, as she demonstrates the use of fondant-a cake decorating technique at 11:30 AM. Also, Wilton School of Confectionery Art instructor Michelle Boyd will demonstrate fun and creative cake pops at 12:15 PM.
The event takes place on Saturday, February 16, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the H-F Park District Auditorium located at 2010 Chestnut Road in downtown Homewood. Free admission.

Chocolates Around the World
The Downtown Homewood Business Association is hosting "Chocolates Around the World" on Saturday, February 16 from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The participating businesses will all have chocolate tasting from different countries that they have chosen. Participants will have a chance to pick up a passport to use as a guide to visit several businesses in the Downtown Homewood area. MB Financial is also sponsoring a raffle drawing, so be sure to enter your name!
Local businesses that will have passports available and raffle entries are: Homewood Florist (until 3:00 PM), Art 4 Soul, Climb On It, Grape & Grain, Global Fusion, Nathalie's Interiors & Gallery, and Farmers Insurance (until 2:00 PM). |

The Community Relations Commission will host the 11th annual Chocolate Bake-Off Contest. The Bake-Off is a spirited contest for amateur bakers and confectioners to compete for recognition as Home Sweet Homewood's Master Pastry Chef . A panel of judges sample each entry to select three winners. Once the winners are recognized, the public samples each entry in exchange for a small donation to benefit Homewood-Flossmoor High School Viking Choir. To learn more click here |
