Homewood's Chocolate Fest features live music, children's activities, demonstrations, and vendor booths boasting delicious sweets, desserts, and gourmet baked goods. Join Karen Scobbie, award winning cake designer, as she demonstrates the use of fondant-a cake decorating technique.  The event takes place on Saturday, February 16, from 11:00 AM to 2:00PM in the H-F Park District Auditorium located at 2010 Chestnut Road in downtown Homewood.  Free admission.

 

Chocolates Around the World

Downtown merchants will host Chocolates Around the World.  Get your "Chocolate" passport at Chocolate Fest and travel the downtown Homewood merchants and sample exotic chocolates from different countries. Participate in the Downtown Homewood Business Association raffle and win amazing prizes.

The Community Relations Commission will host the 11th annual Chocolate Bake-Off Contest. The Bake-Off is a spirited contest for amateur bakers and confectioners to compete for recognition as Home Sweet Homewood's Master Pastry Chef .  A panel of judges sample each entry to select three winners.  Once the winners are recognized, the public samples each entry in exchange for a small donation to benefit an area service group or local not-for-profit.  HOMEWOOD PTA CELEBRATES 100th  ANNIVERSARY!

  

Please join the Homewood PTA as they  commemorate their centennial. Visit the Homewood Public Library and view the wonderful display showcasing the history of HPTA and Homewood schools over the past 100 years. The centennial exhibit is on display at the Homewood Library through the end of January.  After viewing the display, leave a message of thanks in the message book.

 

Beginning in February, educational displays will be placed in each of the four Homewood schools so students can learn more about what their town and their school was like back in the "old days."

Homewood Flossmoor FPAC (Fine and Performing Arts Council) will be sponsoring a fundraiser to support the HF Master Singers Tour to Germany and Switzerland.
