THIRD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE AND HOLIDAY LIGHTS RECYCLING | |

Mark your calendars for the third annual Christmas Tree & Holiday Light Community Recycling Drive. The next drop-off date is Saturday, January 5th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Irons Oaks.
Through January 10th, old or broken holiday light strings and extension cords can be dropped off for recycling at Flossmoor Village Hall, H-F Ice Arena, Wiley's Grill, Irwin Community Center, H-F Racquet & Fitness Club and Irons Oaks.
Volunteers are needed to help at the drop-off location at Irons Oaks. If you can give just one hour, it would be greatly appreciated! Please email Jennifer Molski of the Western Avenue Green Team at jennifermolski@gmail.com. |

The H-F Racquet & Fitness Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The Club has provided outstanding health, fitness and sports opportunities for all ages.
Started in 1973 as a tennis and racquet facility, the Club has expanded three times and today consists of a 12,000-sf fitness center with many amenities.
In honor of this 40 year milestone, the Club will have a week filled with celebrations. The following days the Club will be open free to the residents of Homewood, Flossmoor, and the surrounding communities with activities/events designed for all ages and athletic levels. (minimal fees for some activities may apply).
- Tuesday, January 8 - Senior (age 62+) Day
- Wednesday, January 9 - Group Fitness (Marathon) Day
- Thursday, January 10 - Sports Day
- Friday, January 11 - Members & Employee Recognition Day
- Over the weekend, the Club will host Community Open House Days with fun activities for the whole family.
H-F Racquet & Fitness Club is recognized as the Chicago Southland's No. 1 Health/Sports Club, and named by the Chicago District Tennis Association and Chicago Tennis Patrons, "Facility of the Year."
