Join us in congratulating Dennis McGrath as The Village of Homewood's Deputy Chief. McGrath took her oath of office at the Village Board meeting, Tuesday, October 23. McGrath has been a full time officer since 1995 working in the patrol and investigative divisions, she was promoted to sergeant in 2008. |

The marker, which will be the second ISHS marker to be located in Homewood, will be at the southwest corner of Halsted Street and Maple Avenue. Political dysfunction and polarization has brought American politics to historical lows. As we get closer to election day, the poisonous rhetoric is reaching an all-time high. The public is invited to a special screening of "Patriocracy", a new documentary that drills down to the roots of political polarization and offers sound solutions to move beyond it. This screening will take place on Monday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Prairie State College Auditorium, 202 Halsted Street, Chicago Heights. A discussion will follow the film. VILLAGE STREET SWEEPING | |
Residential areas of the Village will be swept October 15th -31st , November 1st -15th, November 16th -30th . Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from the streets when the sweeper is in the area to allow it to clean along the curb.
