Erin Snyder, Strings Teacher (violin, viola, cello, and bass)

Erin Snyder studied cello performance at Carnegie-Mellon University with Anne Martindale-Williams, principal cellist of the Pittsburgh Symphony.  She also studied with members of the Boston Symphony, the Chautauqua Symphony, and the Beaux Arts Trio.  She has performed extensively around the country and in Europe, including New York City's Carnegie Hall.  Locally, she has played with the Westmoreland Symphony, Altoona Symphony and spent several years as principal cellist of the Pittsburgh Philharmonic.  Erin has extensive experience in  rock, jazz, country and bluegrass and has been featured in over 50 recordings.   She spent 10 years as the cellist with the jazz ensemble Watershed 5tet.   She has coached for the Extreme Strings Academy at CAPA,  Musik Innovations Chamber Music Summer Camp, and Warren County Summer Music School.  She teaches privately in the North and South Hills, where she has maintained a teaching studio for over 18 years.
