As we look back on 2012 and look forward to the New Year, there are some key concepts that need to be considered. One of the most talked about articles of 2012 was 10 Reasons Your Top Talent will Leave You, by Mike Myatt posted on Forbes.com. This article has been shared, posted and tweeted all over the Internet, so you may have already seen it. However, it's worth taking another look.
One of the most interesting statistics presented in the article is that 70% of those surveyed don't feel appreciated or valued by their employer. There are many reasons why employees feel unappreciated or undervalued. Training & Development Magazine states that "a lack of training and development leaves many young professionals dissatisfied...and contributes to their desire to continue a job-search."
