Happy Spring!

Spring is finally here, and it's a busy time for events in Waltham. We enjoyed participating in events such as the Waltham Food & Wine Festival, YMCA Healthy Kids Day, Moody St. 5K, and Waltham High School Health Fair. For photos of some of our activities be sure to check out our photo gallery on Flikr.

Intern Reem Al-Sukait talks about healthy hydration at the Waltham High School Health Fair

Spring also means saying goodbye to four Healthy Waltham interns who are completing their internships and moving on to other opportunities. It has been a pleasure this year to work with our two graduate interns. Reem Al-Sukait, MPH student from Tufts University, worked on a project to help improve communication in the high school cafeteria. Kaveri Roy RN, who has now completed her Doctorate of Nursing practice, nursing leadership and public health from UMass, worked with us all year on a cancer prevention program and is now becoming a new member of our Board of Directors! Our Brandeis University undergraduate interns this spring were Clay Williams and Jae Jung who worked on gardening and nutrition programs. Thank you and we will miss you!
