A Busy Month for Healthy Waltham
September events kept us very busy this month, starting with the 128 Business Expo, then Waltham Day on the Common and Farm Day! It was great to see so many people and continue to spread awareness of Healthy Waltham and Mass in Motion initiatives. Our work with the schools continues with gardening lessons, Vegetable of the Month, and school walking programs. Have a great fall, everyone!

Waltham Farm Day
On September 22, the Waltham Fields Community Farm welcomed hundreds of people to its annual celebration of local farming. Attendees participated in activities such as cider-pressing, digging for carrots, enjoying live music, kids' games, and just strolling around this beautiful oasis in Waltham. Chef Leslie Glynn of Healthy Waltham provided samples of Harvest Kale Salad made with kale grown at the farm.
