NEW @ JEDC.ORG - Interactive Charts and Graphs of  Juneau Community Economic Trends

JEDC has added interactive charts and graphs to its website that give a snapshot of important local economic indicators and historical trends. Residents, public and private employers, and the city administration of Juneau now have a resource to turn to for information on key economic indicators that that affect jobs, income, and our community's general well-being.

New Air Passenger Volume Chart is one of many new interactive features at jedc.org

Juneau, as all communities today, faces challenges in charting an economic future. JEDC hopes that these new interactive indicators will help the community better understand the local economy as they consider their future options.

Juneau is accessible to business, government and recreational visitors only by air and water, so air passenger volume is an important indicator of commerce. While Juneau's air passenger volume shows a recovery from a low in 2009, no significant growth is seen in 2012 and 2013. Will the addition of Delta flights in 2014 bring more air passengers to Juneau? Data for 2014 will be added to the chart as soon as it becomes available.
