Indicator of the Month | Median Household Income

Median household income divides the income of all households in a community into two equal parts and identifies the midpoint above which and below which there are equal numbers of households. Household income is the total income of all individuals 15 years and older living together in a household, whether they are related or not. Juneau's median household income, averaged for the years 2007-2011, is $77,558, which is significantly higher than both Alaska and the United States average. read more

JEDC welcomes new board members Alec Mesdag, Sydney Mitchell & Mitch Jackson, approved by the CBJ Assembly on November 4th. Sincere thanks to outgoing board members Greg FIsk and Jill Ramiel for 6 years of committed service.

Welcome New JEDC Staff

	Kevin Crowley Program Associate Kevin originally moved to Juneau as a Jesuit Volunteer with Southeast Alaska Independent Living. He holds a degree in Economics and Environmental Studies and puts economic analysis and industry cluster knowledge to work supporting many JEDC programs and leading the Renewable Energy and Research & Development Clusters.
	Bernadette Rosano STEM Outreach Bernadette has a passion for educating, inspiring and guiding students to be scientific leaders through observation and collaboration. She has a Masters degree in the Art of Teaching in Secondary Math and Physical Sciences and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. She joins the STEM team to do outreach to education and run the Saturday Thing.
