What's new at Lockwoods?
Firstly, huge congratulations to Mimi and Marco on the birth of their son Filipko, and welcome to Andrew Forbes who is filling Mimi's shoes whilst she is on maternity leave. Mimi will still be around the restaurant, but with a pram for now, so don't ask her for a coffee!
I am delighted that my Sister has joined the business, returning to her northern roots after eight years in London, to develop Lockwoods on Location our outside catering and event management business.
We are now buying Grand Reserve steak from Country Foods, a local family business. This is a premium matured, naturally grazed, beef range which conforms to the highest standards of animal welfare and farming practices, so we hope you like it.
We have been included in the Good Food Guide 2013 (four years running), thanks to all who voted for us!
Finally, believe it or not the Christmas season is creeping up on us, so be sure you have made your bookings soon. We will be closed on 25th and 26th December, and from 1st January to Friday 4th January. We will be open from Thursday 27th December to Monday 31st December (open for lunch and dinner on Sunday, and all day on Monday).
Anyone eating in the restaurant during November or December will be given a voucher offering 10% off a meal from our a la carte menu in January/February!
We have an exciting Christmas and New Year lined up, so can't wait to see you!
