Greetings!
Join us this Saturday for our Annual Meeting. Please let us know you're coming to enjoy a complimentary lunch (details below)!
CAPI has had a busy spring, including hosting some amazing training opportunities that many of you took advantage of. Katharine Allen gave a wonderful training course for medical interpreters working in all languages at the end of March and Maria Cecilia Marty provided advanced court training for Spanish court interpreters in late April (class photo below).
In June, CAPI is sponsoring a skills-building workshop for interpreters working in languages other than Spanish. Please consider attending.
We hope you enjoy this issue of e-Captions, which includes updates on our organization as well as other events that may interest the Colorado interpreter community. Please write us if you have suggestions for future content.

Four-day court interpreter intensive! |
Recently I was lucky enough to attend the advanced training for Spanish Court Interpreters organized by CAPI and held here in Denver in late April. The syllabus of this four-day class was exceptionally well prepared. In addition to the exercises and discussions, we practiced memory retention, note-taking, self monitoring, care of the voice, etc. The instructor Maria Cecilia Marty's workshop was exciting and packed with information. - Lucy Kathan
