Maryland club Bethesda SC contributes star player to U.S. Under-17 Women's National Team 2014 training camp, running from Jan. 11-19 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif.  


Virginia junior midfielder Morgan Brian and head coach Steve Swanson earned the Virginia Sports Information Directors' (VaSID) State Player of the Year and State Coach of the Year honors, respectively.  


Players from Virginia Tech women's soccer, Longwood women's soccer, and William & Mary women's soccer were named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors' (VaSID) All-State Teams.  


Bethesda-Olney U-16 player Eric Matzelevich and current Richmond strikers Academy member William Pulisic were both named to the 2014 Spring Semester U.S. Soccer Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida.

The U.S. Women's National Team will face Russia on Saturday, Feb. 8, at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla., with a kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET.  


The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) will hold the 2014 NWSL Expansion Draft on Friday, Jan. 10 at 11am ET via conference call. As the lone expansion club, the Houston Dash will be able to select up to ten (10) players from the expansion draft list of unprotected players.  


The Richmond Kickers have teamed up with D.C. United of Major League Soccer to jointly host open tryouts in Richmond, VA January 31-February 2.  


US Youth Soccer has narrowed the field down to 10 Goal of the Year and 10 Save of the Year official nominees. One local player has been nominated for Save of the Year, while two locals are up for Goal of the Year.  


Registration opened today for the U12-U19 Maryland State Cup. The deadline is Wednesday, February 12 at 5pm.  


US Youth Soccer is offering a TOPSoccer coaching course at the upcoming US Youth Soccer Workshop in Philadelphia at no additional charge for anyone registered for the Workshop/NSCAA Convention.

CONCACAF unveils times and dates for 2013-14 Champions League quarterfinals: The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) has announced the schedule for the 2013-14 CONCACAFChampions League quarterfinals. The action will kick off with a Central American showdown on Monday, March 10, as Costa Rica's Alajuelense will host Arabe Unido of Panama at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto Scotiabank.

Wake Forest junior forward Sean Okoli has been offered a three-year contract for $50,000 a season, a source told SoccerWire.com on Sunday.
