DELTA AIRLINES FAMILIARIZATION TOUR GROUP
As part of a familiarization tour with Delta Airlines, last week the Port of Seattle brought three British journalists to Yakima as part of an Eastern Washington tour. The writers write for Travel Weekly, Huffington Post UK, and Southern Daily Echo. Among the places we toured them was Downtown Yakima (where they overnighted), murals in Toppenish, a few wineries in the Zillah area plus Cherry Wood Bed Breakfast & Barn's hay wagon ride through the orchards.
YAKIMA VALLEY SPORTS COMMISSION DONATES TO YWCA
YWCA Yakima Executive Director Erin Black was recently presented with a check by Rich Austin of the Yakima Valley Sports Commission. The YWCA helped provide volunteers for the 2014 Pirate Plunder Adventure Race on October 4th. In return, the Sports Commission made a donation to the organization for each volunteer.
"I would like to thank Erin Black, the YWCA and all the volunteers affiliated with their organization," said Austin. "We were very fortunate to have worked with such a great group."

YAKIMA VALLEY TOURISM 25TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY RECEPTION
You're invited! Yakima Valley Tourism is celebrating its 25th Annual Holiday Reception with A Silver Celebration! Thursday, December 4 from 5-8pm at the Yakima Convention Center. Beautiful artwork will be featured along with the ever popular Raffle Drawing and the Silent Auction itself. Returning is the famous Candy Cane Lane and attendees are encouraged to dress up in their Silver best! Entry is $15 per person or $10 with a new, unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots.
