You won't hear any regrets about 2015 from this Mercedes-Benz enthusiast. It was full speed ahead each month and the variety of cars that flowed through the warehouse included the filthy, the breathtaking and the non-replaceable. Newsletter production suffered but 2016 will see a massive effort to get at least 12 out to you. I suppose that qualifies as a resolution...
The classic car world in general has seen a younger buyer exert his/her buying tastes and that taste is increasingly being lavished on younger, more dynamic classics. The ultra-rare 190E 2.5-16 Evo 2 certainly qualifies here and we take a good look at this epic DTM homologation special.
Just to prove that I wasn't loafing this year, I thought a quick look back at some of my better acquisitions was in order. The buying must continue so if you know of something interesting for sale, drop me a note.
A LWB 126 sedan seems a most unusual candidate for a cabriolet but when a Queen is in need of a comfy parade car something must be done. Swiss fabricator Caruna constructed a 380SEL Cabriolet that is worth a look.
And Robert Lettieri's unique look back at 2015's balmy Monterey Car Week reminds us that relief from the winter doldrums is just a few months away.
Oh, and I'm very happy to say 2016 marks my 25th year in business. I wish all a healthy and prosperous 2016!
