POP 2015 - Acorns to Oaks

Thanks to St. Albans families, donations from hundreds of vendors, and more than 70 event volunteers, Pleasures of the Palate 2015 raised nearly $110,000 that will directly benefit the students and faculty at St. Albans. The event format has changed over the past few years as the evening has moved from a tasting event to a sit-down dinner. Thanks to having a POP volunteer committee more than twice the size of recent POP committees, hard working volunteers significantly increased the size of the Silent Auction and added new features such as a Dessert Dash, Buy-a-Box, and a Golden Ticket drawing. The Golden Ticket winner was able to choose the Live Auction item of choice. Thank you Event Chair Julie Walker and the entire POP Committee for many, many hours of hard work. Our students, faculty, and staff appreciate your dedication.

Happening on Campus

From left to right:

6th graders performed in Mrs. Goodey's 6th grade Spanish Fashion Show. In small groups, students choose a theme, dressed according to that theme, and using only Spanish language, described each member's attire. The groups also prepared a short dance to go with their theme.

The Placer SPCA Pet Mobile Express came by earlier this year to pick up donations recollected by Mrs. Tennison's 5th graders.

Kindergartners enjoy time with their 7th grade buddies.

Open House 2015

Current and prospective families enjoyed the May 7th Open House. Parents were able to visit with teachers and enjoyed looking at examples of classwork and long-term project displays.

New Feature on Campus

Outdoor Classroom Pavillion
Thanks to 2014 Fund A Project donors, we now have a beautiful pavilion on campus.
The seven tables and five benches provide plenty of space for up to 48 students at a time to use the outdoor pavilion.
