Moody's Investors Service to Donate Ten Laptops!

We asked, and they answered! Moody's Investors Service, a leading provider of credit ratings, research, and risk analysis, has agreed to donate ten laptops to SSKCA! This incredibly generous gesture equates to an $8,500 donation! Moody's has made substantial donations in the past, but this certainly takes the cake. The laptops will help our students advance in technologically, and we could not be more excited for their arrival. Thank you to Maria Kura for making this happen!

Help Us Raise $40,000!

Our biggest fundraiser can raise $40,000 for our school if we sell all 2,500 tickets. The proceeds will fund an upgraded Audio/Visual system for our auditorium. Tickets cost $20, and the cash prizes are $5,000, $2,000, and $1,000. The winners will be selected at our Family Fun Day on
Sunday, June 14th. Tickets can be purchased by mailing a money order or bringing cash to 12 Newell Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Please support our school!

We have almost reached our 2014-15 financial goal of $110,000! We are only 20% away from reaching that goal, so please support our raffle in this final fundraising push!

Girl Scouts Field Trip

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the FDNY, the Girl Scouts went to the local firehouse on Saturday, May 2nd. The girls of Troop #2832 did not show up empty-handed: they brought thank-you cards, food, cake, and of course, Girl Scout Cookies! They even met the chaplain of the FDNY, Chaplain Kansfield, who is also a resident of Greenpoint. For more details about their trip, click here.
