STUDENT NEWS
Passport to Brooklyn Offered
SSKCA is proud to participate in the Passport to Brooklyn program, which aims to bring learning out of the classroom and into the community. Our 2nd, 5th, and 8th graders will each receive their very own passport to Brooklyn and visit five of Brooklyn's most cultural institutions, such as the Aquarium, Cyclones, Radio City Christmas Show, West Point, Brooklyn Museum, and Intrepid. Before and after each trip, teachers will receive a curriculum booster pack designed to integrate that month's destination and trip theme into the classroom prior to the visit, as well as to assess and reinforce the lessons learned during the visit. And as an added bonus, one student in each grade has also won a laptop and one month of tuition!
Audubon Society "For the Birds!" Kids Program
Our 2nd and 5th graders will begin an 8-week session with representatives from the Audubon Society. During this hands-on educational experience, students will learn about birds and their habitats.
Stages on the Sound - Performing Arts School Residency
Once a week, two theater professionals from Stages on the Sound will be working with students in the arts. Grade 4 will focus on film-making, Grade 6 students will focus on playwriting and producing, while Grade 8 students will focus on Shakespeare study and performance.

Thank you to the Jankowski family and their company Simply Elegant General Construction, LTD for constructing steps so that our PreK3 and PreK4 students can reach the SMART Boards with ease!
