STUDENT NEWS

PreK3 News!

Our youngest students have been working hard to master the alphabet. Throughout the year, they work on various themes from seasons, holiday celebrations, shapes, numbers, colors and the letters in the alphabet. They learn the letters as a step to develop their reading and writing skills. This is done by coloring and art projects, and learning associated words (such as Octopus, Quail, and Xylophone). They started the year with drawing the letters with their fingers, and are now successfully drawing the letters with crayons!

This year, the SSKCA Drama Club is proud to showcase Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, with original score. The 26-member cast consists of students from Grades 5-8, who have attended weekly rehearsals since October in preparation for the show.  This classic story tells of the unappreciated Cinderella whose luck changes when her fairy godmother makes the impossible, possible in this magical tale of true love and self-discovery. The cast members, along with parents, teachers, and alumni, have all helped with the production costumes, props, and stage decorations - a true team effort!  Looking forward to seeing you there!
