Impact 2013 |
This year, Community Makeover has changed their name to IMPACT 2013. We are interested in learning how your church is reaching out into the community and partnering with schools throughout the year.
Noonday Baptist Church had their IMPACT 2013 at Keheley Elementary School on July 26-27. They painted the cafeteria and other areas, as well as, helping teachers set-up their rooms. |
Effective Outreach for the Holidays | On Thursday, August 29, Church Planters are invited to attend a seminar on outreach during the holidays. The holidays are a great opportunity to connect to your community and let them know your church cares about them. Todd Lollis, who serves as the Operation/Outreach Pastor at Freedom Church in Acworth, will be sharing some effective and creative ideas for community outreach and follow-up. The seminar will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and lunch will be provided. To register for this seminar click HERE. |
YOU CAN TELL IT! Seminar to be offered at Annual Meeting |
This seminar helps believers overcome their two biggest problems in communicating the gospel--fear and not knowing how to clearly share the gospel. This seminar is open to key church leaders and members who wish to prepare themselves for a missional lifestyle.
This evangelism seminar will be led by Ron Hughes from Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. Ron will present a biblical strategy to help the believers determine those non-believers God has prepared to converse about spiritual truth and take them as far in the conversation as they can without using high pressure tactics.
During the Association Annual Meeting, this seminar will be offered for FREE. Take advantage of this seminar and come to the Annual Meeting & Key Leadership Training on Saturday, August 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Storehouse Ministries |
Storehouse Ministries welcomes our two newest food pantries, MACLAND Baptist Church and ELIZABETH Baptist Church of Marietta. Also, SANDY PLAINS Baptist Church we accidently left off our list of food pantries last month. This brings our total number of food distribution churches to 23. Please pray for the food ministries at each of these churches as clients are ministered to through this ministry.
If you or your church has an interest in becoming involved in this wonderful ministry, there are many opportunities for service. Please contact Karen Stevens at storehouse@noondayba.org or call (770) 422-3347.
Storehouse Ministries' volunteers pack over 500 boxes each month. This requires about 20,000 lbs. of food used each month. How is this amount of food replenished each month? Monetary donations enable us to purchase food from the Atlanta Community Food Bank at the best possible prices whent the food is available.
In order to pack 120 food boxes, the following amount of food is needed:
240 Cans of Beans | 240 Cans of Pasta/Meat | 120 Cans of Canned Meat | 240 Cans of Tomatoes | 240 Cans of Green Vegetables | 240 Cans of Corn | 120 Boxes of Muffin/Grits | 240 Boxes of Mac n' Cheese | 120 Boxes of Cereal | 120 Rolls of Toilet Paper | 120 Boxes of Flour/Pancake Mix | 120 Jars of Peanut Butter | 240 Cans of Fish | 120 Cans of Fruit | 240 Cans of Soup | 240 Cans of Mixed Vegetables | 120 Boxes of Crackers | 120 Bags of Rice/Potatoes | 120 Bags of Pasta | 120 Boxes of Sweets |

Noonday churches that are giving faithfully are encouraged to continue their support. Churches that have decreased their giving are encouraged to prayerfully reconsider their support for Association Missions. Churches that are presently not giving are asked to consider contributing some amount to the ministry of strengthening churches and starting new churches as we work together to impact lostness in our mission field and nation. |
