Thinking of You Bridge
Living the Change
Living the Change
Eleanor Roosevelt, America's first lady when her husband Franklin was president, said this, "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." The reaction of many bereaved people to their situation is, "I don't know how I will get through this!"  There is nothing wrong with that reaction.  It is a normal response to their situation.

Learn more about six ways you can continue to help yourself deal with the change that has taken place in your life.

You Will Know You Are Getting Better When...
Reconciliation
Grief is different for everyone and everyone grieves in their own way and in their own time. It is important to understand that grief is not something a person "gets over", but in time we learn to live with the change that has occurred in our life. Over time, you will realize you are grieving less and your loss does not dominate your life.

Learn to see the clues that reveal you are working through your grief.

How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?
Special moment at Camp Hope
A weekend family camp, called Camp Hope, was created using equine assisted therapy to help the attendees heal through the use of horses.  The primary focus is on children, but the entire family unit participates and experiences all of the healing activities.

Professional volunteers from many of the local hospices and from Schoedinger serve as "counselors" and facilitate adult and child small group sessions.   Families and volunteers alike experience profound learning and healing during this weekend camp.  Learn more about Camp Hope.
