Wine Tasting with Dan and Whit's and the Norwich Inn to Benefit AVA

May 6, 5-7pm

The legendary Dan & Whit's and its neighbor, the Norwich Inn, have joined forces to offer monthly wine tastings at the Inn for the benefit of local nonprofits. The wine tasting to be hosted on Wednesday, May 6, from 5-7pm, will benefit AVA Gallery and Art Center.

Tickets to this special event are $15, and can be purchased in advance by clicking here, in the AVA office, or at Dan & Whit's.

Tickets bought after 2pm on the day of the event, or at the door (if space allows), cost $20.

The owners of Norwich Inn, Joe and Jill Lavin, will provide cheese platters, and several local vendors will bring food to sample -- all in the spirit of complementing the wines that will be featured.

AVA will receive a percentage of the proceeds from the tickets, as well as from each bottle that will be sold at the Norwich Inn during the wine tasting event.

Space is limited, so buy your tickets now!

Our thanks go to Dan & Whit's and the Norwich Inn for their support of local nonprofits in general and of AVA in particular.

Cheers!

Nile Project Camps in the Media
AVA's April Vacation Camps Partnered with the Hopkins Center and Hood Museum at Dartmouth College, the Upper Valley Land Trust, and the Nile Project!

What a week! Participating youths in our 2015 Spring Vacation Nile Project Camps worked with leaders from five nonprofit organizations to learn about music, art, culture, watersheds and sustainability by studying the Nile and Connecticut Rivers.

The project was covered by the Valley News, VPR, and WCAX. Click on your preferred media channel (print, radio, television) to access their coverage of the camps.

AVA wishes to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this camp experience so successful for our community.

AVA to Receive a Challenge Grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation

Help AVA Meet the Challenge!

AVA will receive a $10,000 challenge grant for operating support from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation once the grant's matching requirements have been met. This generous grant will support and enhance AVA's education, exhibition, and community programming, including numerous free and low-cost programs, while we simultaneously work to reach our $3.5 million capital campaign goal.

New and upgraded memberships as well as donations that exceed previous gift levels will help us meet the challenge. Generous donors who have recently given to AVA may also direct an additional gift to go specifically toward the challenge.

Thank you for helping AVA meet the challenge!

Clay Printing Workshop with Carrie Quade

June 10 & 11 at AVA

Also known as Artspa, the Adult Finger Painting Party, this workshop is designed for both beginners and experienced artists. Beginners will find it to be a similar process to finger-painting, featuring techniques like layering and texturing to affect surface designs. There will be a demonstration and a few guidelines in creating a successful print by discussing color, texture, line and composition. Artists will find freedom to explore the process while incorporating their own style.
