Teen Public Art Mural
Currently Installed in Colburn Park in Lebanon, NH

Teen Mural Web

Through its many public art projects, AVA strives to offer opportunities for artistic expression intended to reach out to the community in as broad and inclusive a way as possible. In this spirit, AVA is pleased to announce our recently installed Teen Public Art Mural.

On Friday, July 20, 2012, seven emerging young artists, who had just completed AVA's Teen Mural Art Camp camp with instructor Julie Puttgen, hung seven 3 x 6-foot original paintings on the east fence of Lebanon's Colburn Park. The paintings, which make an installation of 3 x 60 feet when hung together, illustrate impressions of community, agriculture, and contemporary American eating practices.

The seven began their research with a trip to Cedar Circle Farm in East Thetford, VT, where they learned about organic farming. Returning to AVA's teaching studios, they integrated their experiences and newfound knowledge into their artwork.
