Giving Back

In the pressure packed environment of today's workplace, how many of us make the time and effort to afford ourselves and/or our employees the opportunity to "give back" to the community that supports us everyday?

If the answer is yes I do ... "thank you."  If the answer is no ... well we should talk about that.  If the answer is not enough, why not?

In our community there are many varied organizations that require volunteers and donations from our corporate citizens in order to assist those who cannot assist themselves.  The wide range of need goes from feeding and sheltering the homeless to education programs about prevention of cancer through various methods.

Our employees are our most valued asset.  We need to allow them the time and effort to assist our community in moving forward for the common good.

In many ways we are the lucky ones when we get to help others.  Not only do we feel good about helping, but if the tables were turned how fortunate would we be to get the help we needed.  It is essential that we, as corporations large and small, recognize the obligation that is part of every community to lend a helping hand where we can.

  • Sponsoring a foursome for a charity event
  • Volunteering time
  • Donating money
  • Allowing employees to participate during the work day
  • Donating company assets, time and resources to those less fortunate

Corporate responsibility is for every company large or small, profitable or just getting by.  It is part of the American heritage of helping others who can not help themselves...
