Oh what fun....
Definitely a win-win!

What happens once a year, lasts several days, makes people smile and giggle, and is full of hugs and high-fives?
Yes, we're talking about our annual Community Challenge! This is "our" fundraising event which consists of teams that engage in friendly competition against each other in a variety of intellectual and physical challenges over the course of several days. A HUGE thank you to our 2016 team lineup: Cytec Solvay Group, Peerless Chain, Watlow, Fastenal, River Hills Dental, Winona Agency, RiverSide Electronics, Winona National Bank, Winona Hy-vee, St. Anne of Winona, Winona ORC, Miller Ingenuity, Sugar Loaf Senior Living, Winona Family YMCA, Miller Scrap, and Thern.

Popular 2016 events included our mini-track meet, where we found plenty of team bonding - literally, with the 3-legged race, also during the mini-meet we had a wrapping paper javelin throw, beach-ball shot-put, and a 4X400 relay. Pickleball had the bleachers filled with Winona ORC fans and cheerleaders, a little friendly boasting during human foosball, plenty of laughter during the amazing race challenge, and such silence and concentration throughout the Lego building contest.  We have over 200 photos on our Facebook Page so be sure to check them out.

We're so lucky to have such amazing support from our community businesses. These businesses not only support Live Well Winona but also invest in their employees by giving them a week filled with fun filled activities.  It definitely is a win-win.  Thank you.
Family fun - save the date!
Mark your calendars - October 8, 2016 from 9am-3pm, the Playground will be hosting our second annual LEGO® Building Contest in conjunction with Family & Children's Center. More details to follow!
Something new for dinner
Bluff Country Co-op is partnering with Winona State University to host "Cooking Around the World," with international students at the university, who will teach monthly cooking classes featuring their home cuisine at the co-op at 10:30 a.m. the second Saturday of the month.

The program will allow participants to meet new people, taste new food and experience a new culture, and the program aids WSU students in receiving scholarships for their tuition. For more
