Don't let your dreams stay dreams
Dream Sessions: A Tool For Our Journey Toward Our Purpose
Written by Janneke Sobeck, Director of Live Well Winona

Imagine your world filled with possibility and purpose. Earlier this year I joined a dream session cohort, hosted by Chris Dembiec of Express Employment Professionals. This was a six week session that involved a weekly group meeting to reflect on our dreams and goals, work toward our bigger purpose in life, and help hold each other accountable. Chris reminded us that we ALL have dreams; some of us just haven't thought about them for awhile! There is nothing more motivating and personal than our own dreams. Our dreams fulfilled have a great effect on our life and the lives around us. As we achieve our goals, we inspire those around us. We are all called to the role of a dream leader, which means that as people share their dreams with us, we help encourage, connect, and support them as they work toward accomplishing something that is important to them. Wanting to help those around us is inherent in all of us. There are so many reasons why people don't follow their dreams.
What You're Thankful For
Last year around this time, the Winona Daily News featured a section titled What You're Thankful For, where community members shared their stories of gratitude. Don't let this busy holiday season pass you by without taking time to reflect on the things that bring you joy. May your hearts be happy and your tummies full this Thanksgiving!

If you find yourself hungry and in want of good company on Tuesday, November 24th from 5-7pm, you are invited to a free Thanksgiving Dinner at the East Recreation Center.
