Live Well Winona | Healthy Habits, better lives
Greetings!

We are SO IMPRESSED with all Mississippi Medley 5k Series runners and walkers who braved the cold for the first 5k! Special congratulations to Ryan and Megan Ping for their speedy times at the Cabin Fever Scholarship Dash despite some slippery surfaces ;-)

Speaking of slippery surfaces, thanks to the Parks & Rec Department for an amazing Goose Bump Jump fundraiser last weekend!

Lean Beef...Add Flavor to Heart Health

Article by Winona Hy-Vee Dietitian Alexandra Economy, RD, LD

Featured resource of the month:
Trails at Saint Mary's University
The university has a network of wonderful trails that run along the bluffs and into wooded valleys. In the spring, summer, and fall months the trails beckon runners, hikers, and explorers alike. The trails are used by the St. Mary's Cross Country team and they have been labeled as one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletics Conference. When the snow comes, skiers appear on the white pathways for fun and competition.
Visit the trail webpage and also consider the SMU 10k Nordic Ski Races on February 17th!
