Featured resource of the month: Winona Health
New Year, new you? Whether you are looking for preventive health measures or treatment options, Winona Health offers a variety of services for all ages and interests. Classes, support groups, educational programs, and other events take place throughout the year. Topics range from diabetes prevention to bringing your baby home.
One of their popular youth-focused services is the Healthy Kids Club, a community-wide program for children ages 6-11 and their families. The goal of Healthy Kids Club is to teach children about the importance of health and wellness at an early age.

Making a Difference award: Winona County
Winona County has made the health and wellness of their employees a high priority as shown by the establishment of their Wellness Committee in 2004. In 2012 the Wellness Committee took their wellness activities to a new level by offering free health screenings to their employees, performed by Hy-Vee dietitian Alexandra Economy. Winona County's Wellness Committee continues to expand their wellness initiatives.
