Dr. Alberts, professor and chair of biochemistry and biophysics at UC San Francisco, will discuss challenges in biomedical sciences and how to keep science healthy on Mar. 9. More here.

UCLA Molecular and Medical Pharmacology Special Presentations - Siddhesh Kamat, Ph.D. and Serkan Kir, Ph.D.
On Mar. 10, Dr. Kamat, postdoctoral research associate at Scripps Research Institute, will speak on a lipid signaling pathway that controls immune cell extravasation in a human neurological disease. CTSI Seminar: David Ginsburg, M.D. 
Dr. Ginsburg, professor at Life Sciences Institute, investigator at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and distinguished professor at University of Michigan Medical School, will discuss cargo receptors in the E.R., from clotting factors to cholesterol regulation, on Mar. 16. More here.

Children's Discovery and Innovation Institute Scientific Seminar Series: Alison Chu, M.D. and Satiro De Oliveira, M.D.
Dr. Chu, assistant professor of pediatric neonatology at UCLA, will discuss epithelial membrane protein 2 deficiency altering angiogenesis and Dr. De Oliveria, assistant professor of pediatric hematology/oncology at UCLA, speaks on gene-modified hematopoietic stem cells for cancer immunotherapy on Mar. 17. RVSP here.
