New! Pilot Funds for Cervical Cancer Research
The Iris Cantor-UCLA Women's Health Center and CTSI will provide up to $75K over two years. Applications are due Jan. 26 and details can be found here.

Pilots for Minority Aging Research
Grants of up to $40K each will be awarded to minority junior and mid-level faculty and minority post-doctoral researchers for pilot projects focused on health in minority aging populations. The awards are sponsored by CTSI and the UCLA/Charles Drew University Centers for Minority Aging Research and the Center for Health Improvement of Minority Elderly. New! FDA Fellowship in Tobacco Regulatory Science
Online applications for the one-year fellowship will be accepted beginning Jan. 5. Fellows receive up to $95K for training in one the following areas: compliance and enforcement, health communication and education, management, regulation, policy and science. Details here.

Clinical Informatics Fellowship
Launch a career in the new subspecialty of clinical informatics, focusing on health information technology within health care delivery systems. Upon completion, fellows are eligible for board certification in clinical informatics. Apply by Jan. 1details here
CTSI TL1 Summer Fellowship
The fellowship for health professional students provides eight weeks of training, a stipend, and funds for research project expenses. Application deadline is Feb. 1. Go here for details.  

KL2 Translational Science Awards
Junior faculty are eligible for the awards, which support up to three years of mentored, interdisciplinary, patient-oriented research. LOI deadline is Feb. 1; applications are due Feb. 22. Details here

New! Speed Mentoring for Medical Students
"Speed mentoring" consists of five-minute consultations. If there's a match, faculty will advise students on their research during the summer. Mentor signups end Dec. 19. Details here.

New! Training in Mixed Methods Research 
The one-year, NIH-sponsored training program is conducted remotely except for a three-day summer retreat. Application deadline is Jan. 15. Details can be found here
National Center for Advancing Translation Sciences Accepting Collaborative Proposals for Pre-Clinical Programs
NCATS, a unit of NIH,  is accepting proposals to collaborate with its Bridging Interventional Development Gaps (BrIDGs) and Therapeutics for Rare and Neglected Diseases (TRND) program scientists. More here.
