Grant & Clinical Protocol Development Workshop
Beginning July 14, this two-week, collaborative workshop is designed for junior/mid-level clinical researchers and focuses on clinical research grant preparation and submission, study design, protocol development and clinical trial conduct. Course and application details here.

Call for Applications: Training Programs in Translational Science 
CTSI TPTS offers CTSI partner sites advanced training in clinical research:
-  clinical research development modules (Track 1, app accepted year-round)
-  formal, structured certificate program (Track 2, apps due May 31)
-  Master of Science in Clinical Research (Track 3, apps due May 31)

How to Co-fund a Team Science Award
These awards support multidisciplinary teams and facilitate obtaining preliminary data for extramural grants. Through co-funding from CTSI and other entities (e.g. depts, centers), team awards can be up to $200,000. Learn more about CTSI Co-Funding.

LADR: Explore Available Patient Populations in Los Angeles
LADR, the Los Angeles Data Repository, is a joint project of major Los Angeles health care provider organizations aimed at enabling clinical investigators to explore the size of potential research study cohorts across each participating institution. Initial participants include UCLA and Cedars-Sinai. Learn more

UC ReX: a UC Shared Data Resource
UC Research eXchange and its UC ReX Data Explorer tool provide researchers and specialists access to cohort counts derived from the de-identified clinical data of over 12 million patients collected at the point of care from the five UC health campuses. Click here for more information.

On June 6, the UCLA Biomedical Library will host a Scopus and Web of Science event to discuss the capabilities of each tool which, in addition to indexing journals, provide unique views of author metrics. Register here
