Submit LOIs for CTRC Seed Grant Program 

CTSI Clinical and Translational Research Centers are offering funding for up to five proposals to establish collaborations between the CTRC and investigators at all CTSI partner sites. Letters of intent are due Apr. 21. Full details here.

Sign Up for the UCLA CTSI NIH K Award Workshop 
RSVP is required by May 12. This popular event covers the NIH K award process, development of K proposals, the UCLA CTSI KL2 award process, and an overview of CTSI resources. Participants can submit draft applications in advance of the workshop for review. Space is limited! Get details and register.

Call for Applications: Training Programs in Translational Science 
CTSI TPTS offers CTSI partner sites advanced training in clinical research:
-  clinical research development modules (Track 1, app accepted year-round)
-  formal, structured certificate program (Track 2, apps due May 31)
-  Master of Science in Clinical Research (Track 3, apps due May 31)

Dr. Aberle, Professor of Radiology and Bioengineering at UCLA, is one of ten researchers to receive the prestigious Clinical Research Forum award developing screening protocols for lung cancer. Read full story.

CTSI KL2 Scholars and TL1 Trainee to Present at ACTS-AFMR Translational Meeting  
Four KL2 Scholars and one TL1 trainee from UCLA CTSI will present posters at the Annual Translational Science Meeting on Apr. 9-11 in Washington DC. See details here on the upcoming poster session. 

Petra Kauffman Joins NCATS as Clinical Innovation Director 
Beginning May 4, Dr. Kauffman's new role will include overseeing the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program with the aim of improving effectiveness and efficiency in the translational process. Learn more.

UC ReX: a UC Shared Data Resource
UC Research eXchange and its UC ReX Data Explorer tool provide researchers and specialists access to cohort counts derived from the de-identified clinical data of over 12 million patients collected at the point of care from the five UC health campuses. Click here for more information.
