State of the City outlines adversity, opportunity: City leaders discuss short-term adjustment period in face of long-term gains
  
Three Dickinson city leaders and state Department of Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms spotlighted the volatility of life in the Bakken Tuesday afternoon at this year's iteration of the annual State of the City address at the Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge.
Dickinson to participate in oil gap analysis study

A gap analysis study of Oil Patch cities, including Dickinson, would attempt to compare the levels of expenses and revenues incurred by oil industry developments to provide data in time for the upcoming legislative session.

Things might not look optimistic at the moment for oil prices, but North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms argued Tuesday at Dickinson's State of the City luncheon that redemption was likely somewhere in the future.
