Senators introduced a bipartisan compromise Wednesday in the ongoing oil tax debate, proposing to change the overall tax rate to 10 percent unless oil prices average above $90 a barrel.

 

Perdue makes DSU history, selected for Truman scholarship

A Dickinson State University student made history on Wednesday after he was awarded the Harry S. Truman Scholarship.

Matthew Perdue, a junior at Dickinson State University, made history as DSU's first Truman Scholar. The 58 scholars were selected from among 688 candidates nominated by 297 colleges and universities. They were chosen by 16 independent selection panels on the basis of the finalists' academic success and leadership accomplishments, as well as their likelihood of becoming public service leaders.

Dunn County Commission approves more funding for airport

The Dunn County Commission voted Wednesday to chip in the final funding for a new fuel system at Weydahl Field airport north of Killdeer.
