Dickinson city commissioners approved another reading of the West Dickinson Area Plan, moving the study closer to adoption after months of drafts and input from both the public and city officials.

Oil closed up for a second straight week Friday after another drop in the U.S. rig count, and Brent crude hit a 2015 high above $60 a barrel, but market skeptics cautioned the rally could fade because supplies keep coming.

I was glad to hear the Senate passed the "surge" funding bill by the wide margin of 44-2 last week.
