North Dakota proposes rules to make its oil less volatile
   
North Dakota's energy regulators proposed standards on Thursday to remove volatile elements from all crude oil produced in the state, part of a response to concerns about the safety of crude-by-rail transport.

Group outlines goals, uses for N.D. Legacy Fund: $230B by 2060

A voter-approved trust fund that has socked away more than $2.4 billion in North Dakota oil and gas tax revenue since 2011 could balloon to $230 billion by 2060 under a scenario outlined Thursday by a group that spent the last year developing a road map for the fund.

Preliminary production numbers for September 2014 are 1,184,635 BOPD (new all-time high) from 11,741 (new all-time high) wells and 1,403,448 MCFD (new all-time high) of natural gas. Natural gas captured rate increased to 76%. There are currently 186 rigs active in the state.

MDU to buy third wind farm

Pending North Dakota Public Service Commission approval, MDU will spend $200 million on a 107-megawatt wind farm being built near Hettinger by ALLETE Clean Energy.

Installation of new 4-way stops occurred in Dickinson at the following intersections:

  • 23rd Avenue West and Fairway

  • 12ths Street and State Avenue

  • 10th Avenue West and 21st Street West

Please exercise caution and drive defensively as motorist become accustomed to the new stop condition.
