The U.S. is poised to pass Russia as the world's top oil and gas producer, according to a new report, and North Dakota's congressional delegation said they believe it is largely due to the state's Bakken energy play.

 

  

Helms:  State's daily oil production will double by '17 

 

North Dakota's daily oil production will double to 1.6 million barrels by 2017, Department of Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms said in a taped address to oil county and industry folks Thursday.

Cramer: Short-term debt ceiling increase needed
