Sterling Construction Breaks Ground in North Dakota

Mishawaka, Ind. - Sterling Construction has begun work on Sierra Ridge, a 278-unit Class A apartment home community in Dickinson, North Dakota. Located on State Ave. North and 21st West, this market rate rental community is in a rapidly-growing area thanks to the oil boom of the Bakken Shale Formation.

"This area is one of the hottest markets in the country," said Lance Swank, president of The Sterling Group.  "There is a tremendous demand for high-quality housing in Western North Dakota and we are excited to be a part of this phenomenal movement that is taking place in this region. We are happy to partner with Braxton Development. They have a strong presence in the West region and their experience in the hospitality and multifamily industry will help to assure we are offering the best product in the market. "

Sierra Ridge Apartments, a partnership between Braxton Development, Sterling Development and Baledge LLC, will consist of 12 buildings and feature seven different one, two and three bedroom floorplans. These floorplans range in square footage from 685 - 1,305. Rents range from $1,800 - $3,300. Attached and detached garages will be offered, along with heated exterior storage areas and car/truck plug-ins.

This luxurious, pet-friendly community will feature a resident clubhouse, cyber café with Wi-Fi, fitness center with top-of-the-line equipment, an outdoor fireplace and grilling station, car care center, and recycling center.

Residents will find the apartments feature amenities found in residential homes, including a full-size washer and dryer, fully-equipped kitchen with Energy Star rated appliances, woodgrain flooring throughout, and spacious, walk-in closets. One of the more unique and convenient features is the locker area located in each residential building. Residents will have an opportunity to rent lockers for storage of items with oil residue. Furnished apartment homes are also available.

Estimated at $32.3 million in total development costs, this project is expected to open next summer. A sister property, North Gate Apartment Homes, will also be developed in Williston, ND.
