Dickinson Hosts Energy Impact Briefing

In an effort to educate the public on the impacts of regional energy development, the City of Dickinson hosted an Energy Impact Briefing for the public, regional stakeholders and local, state and federal officials on August 16. The briefing focused on the City's comprehensive community and transportation planning initiative addressing a wide range of issues including: housing, municipal infrastructure, transportation, zoning and annexation needs, and public safety service.

As the City expands and develops, support from the local stakeholders as well as elected and public leadership is critical. The City of Dickinson officials and administration are diligently striving to maintain the integrity of the community and expand resources as a primary hub for the energy industry.

Dickinson Housing Crunch

For new housing developments the waiting list is longer than the amount of available units and the average wait for an apartment in Dickinson is around 6 months. Compounding the problem is increasing material costs and shortage of labor.

Public Transit Plans Ways To Grow With Dickinson

The Dickinson business community is driving a more efficient approach regarding Public Transportation. Colleen Radakowski, the Public Transit Executive Director, is determined to revitalize the system and transform its weaknesses into strengths to better accommodate the growing demand for public transportation services.

Southwest County Officials Plan Region's Economic Future

The Southwest Rural Economic Area Partnership in collaboration with the Department of Transportation, the City of Dickinson, American Petroleum Institute, U.S. Department of Agriculture and a strategic planning company is unifying their approach addressing sustainable long term county projects. By bringing local concerns to the regional level, the area will be more organized and competitive for funding to address the specific needs of their communities.
