Fun Fishing Day
The Fourth Annual Fun Fishing Day will be held at the Pelican Rest Marina the third weekend of October. We are excited to host the children of the Ronald McDonald House AND the children of Shriner's Hospital of Galveston again this year!
The children and their families will spend the morning fishing with Club volunteers who will help them bait their hooks, reel in their fish and keep track of their winning catches. They will also be treated to a delicious lunch donated by Bealine Environmental!
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Sponsorships are available for the Fun Fishing Day! If you are interested in donating to the event, contributing your time, or becoming a Fun Fishing Day Sponsor, please contact the Club at 409-744-2307. The deadline for sponsorships is Monday, September the 21st.

Our tournament season has ended and hunting season is about to begin. I can't believe the season is already over. Even though participation was low in all of the Texas tournaments this year partially due to weather as well as the price of oil, the fish were still biting. Overall, the blue marlin bite stayed consistent throughout the summer, probably one of the better years we've had in a while. The tuna bite dropped off a bit but hopefully that will change soon. Now it's time to go fishing without the crowds and put some meat in the freezer for the winter. Good luck to everyone and stay safe!
