A Great Future

God has a great future planned for His children! Both in this life and the one to come, our Father has prepared extraordinary things for us! Still, with the promise of a grand future in hand, too many of God's children continue to gaze back at the past. They are fixated on disappointments, failures, and "what could have been". The problem with being fixated on the past, whether good or bad, is that it leaves no place for the future.
 
Winston Churchill, once being appointed Prime Minister, chose a group of men to serve beside him, and help his country overcome the threat which Hitler and the Nazis presented. Some of these men, although very much qualified for the position Churchill had given them, had at one time tried to do him harm. When asked about why he chose these men who had attempted to do him harm in the past he said, "If we open a quarrel between the past and the present, we shall find that we have lost the future." Churchill understood, to receive the future he hoped for he would need to let go of the past. Know that God has a great future for you, but to receive that future you'll have to let go of the past, and begin to press towards the greatness God has called you to!
