The Attitude Of Christ
     
"Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had." Philippians 2:3-5 (NLT)
 
As followers of Christ we must possess the attitude of Christ! We must be the embodiment of His humility, of His willingness to put His own desires aside to fulfill those of the Father. We shouldn't concern ourselves with impressing others, but rather with pleasing God. We should be concerned with the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as those of a sin torn humanity, and not merely our own.   In all we do the mind of Christ should dictate our attitude towards the world around us.
 
Watchman Nee said, "The right attitude is this: that I have my own will, yet I will the will of God." We must continually seek the will of God! That's what our Master did, and we must embrace the same attitude! This attitude will not only bring glory to our God, but it will also help to alleviate the pains of a hurting world, while at the same time bringing the redemptive power of the Gospel to all of mankind! Embracing an attitude that seeks the will of the Father has the ability to change the world around us! For in this attitude we will be operating with the mind of Christ; a mind that was steadfast on redeeming the lost of this world back to God!
