All Authority
     
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.'" Matthew 28:18 (NIV)
 
Before Jesus leaves planet earth He makes it clear to His followers that all authority had been given to Him, both on earth and in Heaven. The authority that God once gave to Adam, and was lost to satan, had now been taken back by Jesus! There is no power that exists upon planet earth which must not yield to the authority of Jesus Christ! The enemy still has power, but the authority he once held has been lost! Jesus reigns supreme! We must embrace this as an absolute truth, for satan and his dark angels are masters of illusion. They have the ability to manipulate any situation to make it seem as though they have authority, and that God's Word is merely a subjective truth at best. Our enemy is indeed the father of lies!
 
Because Jesus has all authority in Heaven and upon earth, His word reigns as absolute! It trumps all the powers of the enemy, this is why he must use deception to gain control over us and our life circumstances!   We must never operate merely by what we see, but without hesitation, we must operate in unwavering faith, that moves in accordance to God's Word, regardless of the illusions the enemy may try to set before our natural eyes! Remember, Jesus is the living Word, and He has ALL authority!
 
There must be no doubt of the continuous struggle between Light and Darkness, the forces of our Lord and the forces of satan and his dark kingdom. Yet, in this struggle our Lord's authority is sovereign, His rule is absolute, we must never doubt this! The enemy's authority has been toppled, and soon his dark kingdom will be destroyed!
 
"Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT)
